The Last Friday...
Dammit I knew this was going to happen. I miss my kids already. I had my usual Friday school but with the sixth graders out of sight it was a good day. I had three fourth grade classes and a fifth grade class. The fifth graders wanted to play dodge ball one last time so we went out to the muddy field and played. At first I did my usual dodging but then the fifth graders started to get really serious. Anyway this girl on the other team was able to get the ball from all the boys that were hogging it so I just stood there trying to pretend that I didn’t notice she had the ball. Anyway she totally throws a fastball and originally I intended to dodge it but it came too fast and I had to catch it. It caught me so off guard that it almost knocked the wind out of me. I did manage to catch the ball but I needed to take a few seconds to get my breath back. Then all the kids ohhhed and ahhhed and the homeroom teacher was laughing her head off. It was fun to end the year playing dodge ball with them.
The fourth graders were also really good and enjoyable. They wanted to play fishy fishy since the fifth graders made such a big deal about it two weeks before. So basically I was out on the field all day. The last fourth grade class was planning to go out onto the field but the sixth graders took the whole place and we were forced to choose a different game. Surprisingly they wanted to play Heads up Seven up. What a classic game! The very first time I did a lesson with them during the extra 10 minutes or so we played Heads up seven up. I didn’t think they liked that game very much but it seemed to be really popular today.
We’ve been doing some crazy last minute things for our move TOMORROW! At first we thought that we had a driver for the rental van but it turned out that no one was available Saturday morning. Krystal and I desperately trued to find someone and at the last moment someone did! It was the MIIIICH, who the better half of Mr. Titus. Actually he was originally going to help us with the driving but because of a toe modeling session he can’t. Of all things to tell us, Toe Model? Like we wouldn’t question that even more when someone says they model toes on the side. How weird is that? Then again Lisa made a huge sack of money when she modeled her toes for the new McDonald’s fries commercial. I hear that she’s using that money to go to Korea. Nah just joke. HAHAHAHAHA. Anyway the MIIICH can drive so the move should goes as smoothly as scheduled.
Only an hour or so left before I won’t come to this school again. I wonder if the teachers know that the sixth graders are a handful and are also relieved that they will be moving on. If it weren’t for them I might have been ok to come back to this area next year.
