FAME!
I wanna live forever, I wanna learn how to fly! Ok I needed to put that in there for two reasons:
1- Joel is really embracing his cultural heritage(s) by doing his Filipino dance thing. I remember when he used to bitch about it, but I think the bruddha wen finally crack!
2- For some reason the schools that I’m at break into song in the middle of the morning meeting. It was very Broadway musical-esque.
Anyway for some reason the two schools I have been at this week break into a song during the morning meeting. I don’t know what’s going on because first no one tells me anything and if there seems to be some kind of announcement, everything is in Japanese. I look like an idiot because here I am reading a book ignoring the morning meeting as usual when everyone is standing around the room WITH A MUSIC SHEET, and they start singing. So I stand up because I feel weird being the only one sitting down and they don’t give me a music sheet. Honestly I probably couldn’t follow anyway but to stand there and hold a music sheet like everyone would be nice. And on top of that, all the teachers can read music and follow with the right pitch and everything. For a society/culture that doesn’t like humility and embarrassment they sure seem to dish it out pretty good.
The moving situation at home is slowly starting to proceed. We just signed the moving contracts and all the legal things yesterday. In a week or so we might be in our new apartment so send prayers to us for a quick and easy move. It’s pretty interesting how much crap you can accumulate in 7 months time. I think there’s gonna be lots of rubbish in the new future. The biggest thing we’re worried about is getting our deposit back. When we first moved in we paid a 1,000 deposit o something. So when we move out, if anything needs repairing then they take it out of our deposit. Our friend here said that not all places will give you back your deposit so we need to make our apartment as immaculate as possible. I’m a little worried about a few things like holes in the wall due to my excessive need to put stuff on my walls and my closet pole fell when we first moved in and made a big gouge in the wall. I’m assuming that I need to pay for that but hopefully it will go unnoticed.
Other than that nothing much was going on in the land of the rising sun. Until next time…
Break It down.
