Ok so back at my Friday school and besides the weather being kind of crappy… today is a good day… Ice Cube… Remember when he was just a rapper? OK so I had the third graders today and the lesson was such a good one. I did my usual end of the year Jeopardy-esque game and they all loved it. Something about getting points in the hundreds makes that game really cool. But I was a little worried before I got her seeming that last week the third grade teachers be prepared just incase the students start to cry. CRY? I don’t want them to cry… who knows what would happen if that goes down.
Anyway the past week I have been taking my camera to school to get pictures of my classes and stuff. It’s kind of weird thinking that in a couple of weeks I might have completely new schools and I have to start all over again. Kind of jealous of the person who gets my Friday school after I leave because everyone here is cool except that one grade, and next year they won’t be here so all around a very good school. So hard to leave soon…
I just made the decision to go to Taiwan during Golden Week, a week so Golden that the whole country basically has this week off. Everyone in Japan seems to go somewhere during the week so why shouldn’t I? Actually the real reason for people in Kyoto to get out is because Kyoto itself is a really big tourist place and people from other parts of Japan are coming as well as foreigners. So we decided to go to Taiwan. Why you might ask? Well originally we wanted to go to Saipan but all the flights are booked and we can’t get a good deal on anywhere else in the Asia area. I’ve started to hear mixed emotions about vacationing in Taiwan but they way my buddy Kevin put it, “Hey it’s either really awesome and we have a good time or it sucked ass but you could say I’ve been to Taiwan.” Which is a very good way to look at our situation.
This weekend…. OH there’s poker this weekend! I’m going to head over to Kevin’s house for a little male-bonding poker action. HAHAHA that sounds funny so I’ll leave it in. Krystal decided to hang out with her cousin one more time this weekend so its just going to me and the BoyZ! Other than that we have to start packing since we will be moving in a week.
We’re really excited about the new apartment and new neighbors. Ahh, tatami floors, three rooms, a nice ass bathroom, a separate toilet, balcony, a proper kitchen, and in the near future maybe some satellite TV? We’ll see about that. I can probably hold out until summer but once football season starts I want to have the dish working.
