Next Stop... Not Zippy"s
God I wish the next stop was ZIPPY'S. So, I found my way to another school today. For the next couple of weeks I’ll be making my rounds to about 5 other schools. Which means that I have to teach my introduction lesson until September. Each school has about 3 days where I come to visit and in three days all I can do is my introduction, Hello, My name is, and hw are you. I guess that’s not too bad. For example the school that I just finished my visit at was Junpu and I won’t see them again until December. It was a really small school and all the kids got to know me pretty quickly. I miss them already. But I have a new school and new kids to influence. What and awesome job!
I got to go to TOYS R US the other day. I didn’t know why I was so happy there. I guess the “kid” inside of you never dies especially when you go to a mega toy store. So I walk in and the place looks just like it would back home. I expected to see lots of Japanese stuff but I as surprised to see American toys and games. The first thing that caught my eye of course was the Star Wars stuff. In light of the new movie, the whole front section is littered with Star Wars paraphernalia. I was trying not to look to hard because I’ll finally get to see the movie this weekend, and I didn’t want to spoil anything. But I couldn’t resist when I picked up a Dooku action figure. If Dooku were to see me as an action figure he would buy me in respect… right? Anyway what blew me away the most were the new Star Wars Legos. The bastard company keeps bringing them out like crazy. I saw the new prototype X-wings, some weird looking droid “Tri-Fighter”, and even something that resembled an AT-AT walker. All I know that is that I need to go home NOW to get in on the NEW LEGO ACTION!
Then I came across a stack of light sabers. You could get Yoda’s, Obi-Wan’s, even Darth Vader’s but that caught my eye was the Mace Windu one. I mean come on, it’s a purple light saber that is trimmed with gold. Who wouldn’t want one? I totally wanted to get it but the better half/conscience was saying no, because I already had one. (Krystal) I was so close to grabbing it though…
(After a few Hours)
I just came back from finishing all my lessons. I feel that all the kids from small schools seem to be much better than biog schools and on top of that, the schools where they haven’t had an ALT is even better. I could basically do no wrong here. For the first recess and lunch recess I went out to the field and established my “street rep.” Already I can hear the kids talk about my awesome raw speed of the ball that I throw. Honestly I don’t think that its fast but then to a fifth or sixth grader it might look like a total rocket!! I love the feeling of dominating in dodge ball. Maybe that’s why I only play with kids, hahahaha. Anyway I went out there and made them think twice before throwing the ball my way or trying to catch my ball. I even went out there and totally killed the best players and caught almost everyone’s ball. I do admit that I got out a few times but that way the kids no that I’m human and that they’ll all try to hit me, which mean I get more playing time. MWAHAHAHAHA I feel like a total villain.
