Happy Halloween from Japan!
Yes, today is Halloween. Luckily its only in America because then we would be amongst the dead and Japanese O-bon isn't until August. So what your backs minna! Anyway what did I do for Halloween, my most favorite holiday???
I stayed home. That's right I stayed home because I am totally addicted to 24. I don't know what to say. I feel like the story line is so intense that the whole show has no boring parts. And its a good thing that we got the whole season because I don't think I could wait each week to wacth the new episodes. But its awesome. Krystala nd I started at midnight yesterday and watched a few episodes only to finish up to noon today. We still have 12 more episodes to go and I don't think I can wait for it.
It was pretty much a stay in daysince Krystal is still fighting a cold and the weather sucks ass. So we just watched TV all day and am perfectly intent. Last night though, I went to the HUB (a local bar) with some friends to find out that the HUB is the place to be for Halloween. It seems like all the forgeiners in Kyoto find their way there to party it up Americana style. Many people were in costumes and some were very cool. There were also a lot of Japanese girls trying to pick up Foriegn guys. It seems like the Japanese girls really like foreigners. But anyway a bunhc of us just went to drink up a bit and celebarte in our own way. One of my friend's teacher from school was also there. He was a really nice guy that was speaking really good English. I don't know why but the the younger teachers are usually the ones that are the English teachers. The teachers are all around our ages and its just cool to make Japanese friends and chill. The symbiotic relationship of them teaching us Japanese and us teaching them English. It was a total monster mash!!
No real big plans for this week. Just thinking maybe I should get around to visiting my aunt in Osaka pretty soon. The only thing is that I forgot the number. The number was in my palm pilot and the battery died erasing all the memory. And like an idiot I didn't hotsync it. But supposedly I have an aunt in Osaka... an aunt that I have never seen or talked too, and an aunt that has never seen or heard me... so I should find her easily right?
