Weekend rundown...
What happened on the weekend?
Simple rundown,
On Friday we had our very first poker tournament in Japan. It was pretty fun playing with new people but I did miss the old games where you kinda know how to play eacher other. My observations of the players back home.
Pete: never really bluffs always plays the good hand and throws crap away as soon as he gets it except when he's the blind.
Jake: The real gambler, knows when to drop chips or fold, but usually likes to gamble and becomes the pot bumper or stays to see the river. Like to bluff in the weridest times so if you got semi decent you call.
Cliff: Also the pot bumper and werid bluffer. he usually bluff s when Jake is not and when Jake is he isn't. Cliff tends to get bored fast so if you play long enough he starts to play aggressive. Re-raising or calling anything as long as he has a picture card.
As for me: if you don't know then GOOD! But if I could get these vague descriptions of my poker buddies they probably have some of me...
But anyways the game at my new Atlantian friends' house was pretty cool. Felt like home but not. That doesn't make any sense. And drinking to follow. Actually I found/discovered a new drink that has become my new favorite. Sorry Tanguray, you always be my poison, But anyway the new drink is Coke and Red wine. Yeah yeah yeah, I know it sounds funny and even gross but its really good and refreshing. The best part of it is that you don't need expensive wine to drink the drink. Any type of red wine is good enough. Plus you wouldn't really want to use expensive wine with coke. But yeah its good try it. You get about 2/3 wine and 1/3 coke and throw some ice into the glass and it is perfect sipped through a straw. Perfectly sophisticated and yet vibrant with youth!!
OK after the poker game we went home buzzed and feeling good. Krystal and I ended up sleeping to about 2:30 in the afternoon. It was how a weekend was meant to be spent, We then used the rest of Saturday lounging around and finishing up the Japanese drama GTO Great Teacher Onizuka. It was a 12 episode eeries that has drama, romance, comedy and sometiems even some ass kicking. Perfect for couples, singles, and would be teachers. The show is so funny that I reccomend it to everyone. There is also an anime version which I have not seen but the live show is pretty good too.
Sunday was a day to clean house. I guess you kind of take for granted when living at home that simple household chores are gonna be done when you come home. Having your own place kinda sucks in that poin tof view. For instance it was the first time I cleaned the toilet since I moved in. Is there some kind of rule of when you need to clean your toilet? Or is it a common rule that when the skid marks and yellow tinge don't go away when you flush a good sign? Anyway I got a toilet brush another frist for me, and cleaned the damn toilet. Other things you don't really realize: how much you spend when you have to use your own laundry detergent and fabric softener, exactly how much trash you can accumalate, and etc...
Its actually Wednesday today so I'll give the week rundown later this afternoon. For now wish me luck I got 3 6th grade classes and 1 3rd grade class...
Break it DOWN!!
